After being in the industry for quite sometime, I came across Civil Engineers who do not know where to start or what they are actually doing in the industry. Some of them come up to inform that they never imagined that the industry is like this.

The Reason?

There are a lot of Engineering Colleges and Universities that teach you the technical knowledge but very very few of them will teach you where to utilize that knowledge and what to expect from the career. Career guidance and real field knowledge is as important as the technical knowledge.

But you do not need to worry, I am all in to help you with your questions.
I will be sharing brief posts about the technical knowledge of Civil Engineering, field knowledge from real onsite experiences and of-coarse Q&A session pages answering your questions. You can post your questions in the comments below.

First and the most Important question - WHY CIVIL ENGINEERING?

Civil Engineering is one of the ancient profession that has existed from a long time in the past and will exist for a very very long time in future. In short - An EVERGREEN field.

Do not be misguided by those Instagram reels comparing a Civil Engineer with a Mason or Labor. That is only humor. No offense to the hard-working masons & labors but Civil Engineers are way above their league. Civil Engineers are as Technical and Qualified as any other field professional. 

Aspiring Civil Engineers only view themselves to be working in an onsite core construction work, but that's not all because there are a Variety of Roles that a civil engineer can take up in the industry.
We will discuss the different roles and the opportunities that they bring in a later post. So stay connected to avoid missing any future posts.

Civil Engineers are in great demand all over the world. The Paycheck gets better and better if you acquire the correct set of skills.

Civil Engineers have to deal with big teams consisting of people from different backgrounds and different literacy levels. This makes them very strong and skillful in Human Management and Team Management.

Civil Engineers get to Travel Different Locations due to different project locations. Civil Engineers, in real, get the opportunity to witness the diversity in the world.

Civil Engineers works with different clients and teams and thus they get the opportunity to build a Large Network gradually as their career progresses.

But every profession has its own pros and cons. Civil Engineers also have to face some difficulties during their careers. These include longer working hours, staying in field during different weathers, lower initial pays and lack of guides in the industry.

Civil Engineering is a mix of fun, pressured, dedicated and adventurous profession. It provides different people with different opportunities. All you need to do is to grab the correct skill according to you, start  and commit to your projects as if you are the Owners. By doing so you can start a fruitful career.

    After reading this blog I want everyone should share this info to newcomers in the engineering. As of now it is observed a downfall in Civil Stream because of the social media's fake narrative against civil engineers, market trend and other challenges.
